08:00 hotel pick-up. Visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the stilt house and the One Pillar Pagoda, then the Temple of Literature with a talk on Vietnam's examination tradition.

Hoa Lo – Hoan Kiem Lake – Old Quarter
Hanoi-style lunch. Afternoon at Hoa Lo Prison, Ngoc Son Temple and The Huc bridge, followed by a walk through the Old Quarter and an egg coffee stop. 17:30 water puppet show at Thang Long theatre, then hotel drop-off.
